Cylinder Beach is a most popular swimming beach on North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah). It has been voted Queensland’s best beach by Surf Life Saving Queensland not once, but twice – in 2018 and again in 2019.

This picturesque cove between Cylinder and Home Beach headlands at Point Lookout, North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah) is popular with families because it offers a seasonal life guard service and camp sites nestling in the dunes, just metres from the water’s edge.

Cylinder Beach is backed by a shady foreshore reserve, which includes a picnic areas, parking spaces and other amenities.

The beach as well as offering camp sites, is close to other accommodation options, beaches, The Stradbroke Island Beach Hotel and other quality eating establishments and within easy walking distance of the stunning North Gorge Walk, one of the best land-based whale-watching points on Australia’s eastern seaboard.
