Gorge Walk, North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah)

Journey North Stradbroke Island

Description

Breathtaking ocean views, naturally wonderful coastal bushland and unique wildlife experiences. The Gorge Walk is a must-do on your visit to North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah), with a spectacular outlook from the rocky outcrops at Point Lookout to endless stretches of golden, sandy beaches and opal waters.

The Gorge Walk is one of the most Insta-worthy destinations on Redlands Coast so don't forget to charge your mobile before you hit the road - you might spot a camera-friendly koala or kangaroo along the way!

The area is a haven for a variety of marine and birdlife that overlooks the Pacific Ocean and is perfect for whale watching (between June and November) and dolphin spotting. While you're taking in the incomparable view over the gorge itself, keep your eyes peeled for giant sea turtles riding the waves below.

The Gorge Walk is a truly magical experience, put it at the top of your Straddie itinerary!

Please note: A section of the Gorge Walk, roughly in the middle, is closed for repair. Visitors can still enjoy other sections, with entry points at the southern and northern ends. For your own safety do not enter the closed section of the track or try to bypass it. Follow site signage and remain on the designated trail at all times.
