Singing Up the Spirit of the Land is the result of an enduring relationship between Aboriginal elder Uncle Bob Anderson and artist Jo Fay Duncan who is second generation Scot. Whilst deeply embedded in a local narrative, this exhibition conceptually concerns global issues of the Earth’s continued exploitation through extractive processes like mining, and its redress and rejuvenation. The multimedia art featured in this exhibition experiments with inter-cultural collaboration and finds common ground in our collective relationship to the land.
