At this event you will be given a wheel thrown, dark clay plate that has been painted with a thin layer of white clay. The plate will be the ideal hardness for you to carve your design into. Under the light of the recent full moon you can carve and decorate your plate using a number of stencils, carving tools, underglazes and tissue transfers.
The plate will then be biscuit fired, glazes in a runny white glaze like in the photo and then will have its second firing. Your plate will be ready to collect in approximately 2 -3 weeks.
Why not get your friends together and have an evening creating under the full moon magic. You could design a crystal grid, an intricate design or simply make the ultimate cheese platter! BYO welcome :-)
