'Woven' presents a selection of Papua New Guinean bags in the RAG Collection, including bilum bags and structured shoulder bags made from plastic fibres and pandanus leaves. Demonstrating both traditional and contemporary weaving techniques and materials, these bags serve a functional purpose as well as tell important cultural stories through the use of patterns and colours.
