Redland Sinfonia | Immortal Heroes

The composer as hero, exemplified by Beethoven, has had a profound influence on the way we listen to music. Beethoven had massive struggles to overcome, with his deafness and his harsh treatment by his father, but went on to create some of the most magnificent and awe-inspiring music in the world.

The program celebrates two of Beethoven’s most heroic pieces, as well as music from Gladiator
Hercules", Verdi’s Triumphal March, and "Heroic Music" by Telemann.

Featuring: Catherine Guinevere Lynagh (piano)

Programs includes:

Handel – March from "Hercules"
Beethoven - Symphony No. 5 Finale
Verdi – Triumphal March from Aida
Hans Zimmer - Gladiator
Telemann - "Heroic Music"
Beethoven - Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor, complete

Conducted by: Dr Graeme Denniss
