Somehow we look up at the calendar to find that three months of the year have already passed and we are jumping headfirst into the month of April with the Easter holidays well and truly upon us! A time of the year families treasure for adventures and activities; a time of the year when we can disguise eating copious amounts of chocolate as a festivity!

Dunwich, North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah)

Hop on over to the Little Ship Club this Easter Sunday for a day of waterside festivities! In the morning there will be face painting and an Easter egg hunt followed by an afternoon of live music. And of course it wouldn’t be Easter without seafood, dine on fresh and locally sourced seafood from the club’s new bistro, Yachties!

Mount Cotton (Jungalpin/Tungipin)

Sirromet are putting on quite the spread this Easter Sunday with their popular Family Fun Day! Bring your picnic rug and set up on the winery grounds for a relaxing day out with family and friends. There will be plenty of free kids activities including face painting, crafts and visits from the Easter Bunny!

Alternately, why not enjoy a deliciously curated four-course Easter luncheon at Lurleen’s?

Dunwich, North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah)

The annual Easter Carnival returns to the Straddie Sharks football club this Easter Saturday! Enjoy a short walk from the Dunwich ferry terminals to the community oval for an afternoon of family activities. There will be local market stalls, food trucks, kids rides, farm animals and, for those holidaying on the island, fireworks!

Colour My Pot, Cleveland (Nandeebie/Indillie)

Join Colour My Pot at their new clay studio The Mud Club and get creative with clay these school holidays! The colourful studio in Cleveland is offering a variety of kids clay classes with a festive Easter theme, make and decorate rabbit eggs cups or fun egg coasters.

Holidaying on Minjerribah these Easter school holidays? Check out the exciting calendar of events Oasis on Straddie is hosting at Point Lookout. There’s moonlight cinema nights for the kids, puppet shows, nights filled with live music, amazing food and more!

Coochiemudlo Island (Goochie Mudlo)

Take the family on an island adventure this Easter and browse local wares and food stalls that line the foreshore at the Coochiemudlo Island Easter Markets. There will be a variety of kids activities including an island Easter egg hunt and an appearance from the Easter Bunny!

Afterwards, replenish the troops at one of the island’s coastal cafes before hitting the beach for some fun in the sun.

This Easter head to the Alexandra Hills Hotel. The family-owned business is hosting a range of free activities including face painting, kids jumping castle and live music all surrounding the fantastic playground area that adjoins the newly renovated steak and seafood restaurant. A fun day out for the entire family!
