Redlands Coast’s northern most village, where opportunities for land and water sports abound.
Graced with coastal charm and quaint, village-style character, Thorneside is located on Waterloo Bay – a bay within Moreton Bay – and shares a border with Brisbane, Queensland’s capital city.
Thorneside is home to some major recreation facilities, beautiful, coastal parks such as Beth Boyd Park with barbecues and playgrounds, and a network of walking and cycling trails. Have fun on the water with kayaking or stand up paddle boarding, or join one of the many sports clubs at Mooroondu Sports Field.
The Wynnum Redlands Canoe Club, located alongside Tingalpa Creek, adds an extra touch of coastal play to Thorneside.
Local shopping options are at hand, and the wider retail and dining precincts of Wellington Point are right next door.
