One of Redlands Coast’s two major business and retail centres, Capalaba offers ample shopping opportunity across two major retail precincts, Capalaba Park and Capalaba Central shopping centres.

Sharing a border with Brisbane City, this central coast village is also known for its wide range of recreational, cultural and community facilities along with acreage residential living and bushland areas.

A popular spot for day trippers and locals is Capalaba Regional Park. Extensive play areas complete with a chat board, sand pit, tandem slide, liberty swing, flying fox and all abilities playground,, walking and cycling spaces,lagoons,  picnic and barbecue facilities, and concert stage make this a great place for the entire family.

Redlands IndigiScapes Centre, with an abundance of native flora and fauna to browse in their native botanical gardens, discovery centre and café with a menu inspired by bush tucker, is also located in Capalaba, as is one of the largest skate and BMX facilities in south-east Queensland.

Getting around
- Train: The closest railway stations are Birkdale and Cleveland, both of which are located on the Cleveland line.
- Vehicle: 30 minute drive from the Brisbane CBD; 20 minute drive from Brisbane airport.
- Bike: On and off road commuter and recreational cycle ways run throughout.
- Bus: A major bus interchange is located near the retail precincts and Transdev operates regular bus services.
