Lush and unspoiled bushland and native wildlife.
At Mount Cotton, where residential pockets are set among swathes of naturally wonderful and unspoiled native bush, the focus is on rural living.
A local shopping centre offers most of your everyday supplies, while the larger retail centre of Victoria Point is close by, as is the coast and access to Moreton Bay.
Nature lovers will delight in the abundance of native wildlife, including koalas, at Venman Bushland National Park. Take a picnic, a bushwalk and a camera; or enjoy a wood fired barbecue as wallabies, goannas and a diverse range of birdlife gather nearby.
Mount Cotton is also home to the five star Sirromet Wines – Queensland’s largest winery and, having been recognised with almost 900 national and international awards since opening in 2000, also the state’s most awarded. Enjoy a cellar door tour and wine tasting followed by a meal at one of the winery’s restaurants, choosing from fine dining in Restaurant Lurleen’s, relaxed Cellar Door meals and the flavours of central Italy at Tuscan Terrace; or take a picnic and enjoy the outstanding views, test your skills on the Supa Golf course, or indulge in the ultimate glamping experience in premium and family tented pavilions located in the winery grounds.
