A strong surfing culture flows on North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah) which boasts some of the best surfing conditions in south-east Queensland.
Surfers and body boarders love this natural wonder for the big swells and large, powerful waves of Main Beach – itself a spectacular 32kms of unspoiled sand and surf. The island’s Cylinder Beach is another popular surfing spot, this picturesque cove offers smaller waves, making it a hit with swimmers and less experienced surfers.
