The Old Schoolhouse Gallery
Visit The Old Schoolhouse Gallery in Cleveland and discover the creativity that flows through the beautiful Redlands Coast. A community arts venture run by artists, The Old Schoolhouse Gallery showcases the works of local artists in a rolling program of member exhibitions. Members work in both two and three dimensional formats, and in all media. Throughout the year, handcrafted jewellery, ceramics, sculpture, woodwork, textile art, photography, visual art and more is all featured in exhibitions at the gallery. Space is also available for local schools and colleges to exhibit class shows. Housed across two historic buildings in Cleveland’s heritage precinct – one built in 1872 and the other in 1889 – this volunteer-driven, not-for-profit gallery is open from Friday to Sunday, and public holidays by appointment. The Old Schoolhouse Gallery also runs workshops, artist talks, gala exhibition openings, art markets and more. All works exhibited at the gallery are for sale. Visit the gallery and then take a short stroll to the Grand View Hotel – Queensland’s oldest licensed hotel – and enjoy a drink or meal while overlooking spectacular views of Moreton Bay. The Old Schoolhouse Gallery is located at 124-126 Shore Street North, Cleveland.
