ISA Asia Pacific Tree Climbing Competition for Arborists

Get ready for the 2025 Asia-Pacific Tree Climbing Championship (APTCC)

The APTCC brings together top arborists from across the Asia-Pacific to compete in a series of thrilling, skill-based tree climbing events—highlighting the latest techniques, safety standards, and equipment in the arboricultural industry.

Hosted by the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) and the Queensland Arboricultural Association (QAA), this free event is both competitive and educational, shining a spotlight on the professionalism and athleticism within the tree care industry.

Across Friday and Saturday, competitors will take on five preliminary events: Aerial Rescue, Work Climb, Ascent, Belayed Speed Climb, and Throwline. These events test technical skills, physical endurance, and safety awareness. Top male and female performers will be awarded in each category.

On Sunday, the highest scorers will battle it out in the prestigious Masters' Challenge. One male and one female climber will be crowned APTCC Champions and advance to the International Tree Climbing Championship in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Also running alongside the competition is the Arbor Fair—a free public event with industry exhibitors, kids' activities, and expert advice on tree care, creating a fun and informative environment for the whole family.

Don't miss this unique celebration of arboriculture, community, and world-class climbing!
