In your fused glass workshop you will explore combinations of coloured glass- learning Glass cutting and chipping.
Using embellishments such as glass caviar, rods, stringers, dots, frit (fine sand like glass) and shards of colour you can make your creative masterpieces. You are free to explore your own style with guidance from our award winning glass artist Kaylene Higgs.
Once your finished project has been through the kiln firing process you can turn them into magnets, jewellery, Suncatchers totems and trinkets. There are so many possibilities.
A perfect introduction to glass fusing, this workshop gives you all the guidance you need and all the freedom you desire to explore a smorgasbord of glass colours and elements such as stringers, rods, dots, glass caviar, frit and chips.
These are then kiln fired at high temperature, melted to form puddles of colour- each one so totally unique. There is a multitude of colour and pattern combinations you can use to create an array of colourful and unique gems that you can turn into pendants, earrings, rings or brooches.
There is time to try a few different techniques to give you a good understanding of how glass reacts in the kiln to form random patterns of melted colour.
