Old SchoolHouse Gallery Art Exhibition - Textures in Nature

Textures in Nature is the August Exhibition at the Old SchoolHouse Gallery. Members Kathy Delaney and Kate Stimson are joined by their guest Stephen Schumacher – all interpreting textures in nature through their own creative mediums.
Kathy uses oils to paint the textures of rocks, the sea and foliage revealing both the soft edges and harsh surfaces we see in the environment around us.
Kate has always been a creative soul and enjoys playing with the subtleties of colours that complement each other before adding finer details with patterns and textures creating a sensory experience.
Stephen began his wood turning experience 19 years ago. His teacher, a wonderful turner, who instilled in him the maxim "We are making a thing of Beauty". Stephen became heavily involved in the world of woodcraft especially woodturning. It is his therapy, his hobby, and a great joy in his life.
Opening event is the first Saturday evening where you can meet the artists.
