Soak up the creative atmosphere of a working pottery studio and join the studio community of makers for a festive afternoon of clay and creativity.
In this class you'll create your very own Christmas Pudding Tealight. You'll be given a pre-made, leather-hard dome of white clay as your starting point, ready to build upon. Guided by artist Carys Martin, you'll explore a range of surface decoration techniques including underglazes and tissue transfers to bring your pudding to life with colour and detail.
Let your imagination run wild—create a tiny village atop your pudding, adorn it with holly leaves, or even shape a little snow scene complete with snowmen. Each piece will be unique, a festive treasure that reflects your own creativity.
Once your design is complete, Carys will carefully dry your piece before its first firing, then clear glaze and fire it a second time. Your finished tealight will be ready to collect from the studio in 2–3 weeks—just in time to add some handmade warmth and light to your Christmas table.
All materials, tools, and firings are included. No prior experience needed.
