This special art event takes place on beautiful Coochiemudlo Island as part of the Redland City Council's 'Adventure-Fest'. Just an easy eight minute ferry ride from Victoria Point, Coochiemudlo feels a world away from the hustle and bustle of the mainland.
Discover an eclectic mix of artworks created by local artist, each capturing a part of the island's unique life, colour and natural beauty. From vibrant landscapes to pieces inspired by the coastal environment, the exhibition celebrates everything that makes Coochiemudlo so captivating.
The Curlew Gallery, just a short walk from the ferry terminal, showcases 2D and 3D work by a variety of local artists. Just around the corner is a second gallery 'Ross Street Gallery' that will also host exhibits by local artist Deirdre Moran and other creatives. All are eager to show our visitors the 'Colours of Coochie'
But there's more!
Gazebos will be set up in the grounds of the lovely Viva restaurant (once again a short walk from the ferry) where visitors can interact with local artists. There will be a demonstrations of gel printing and painting ceramics; as well as artists putting the finishing touches on bright and breezy acrylic paintings. If you are of a literary mind then you will want to visit the gazebo of 3 of our published authors who will describe their writing processes.
