Step back in time and discover the traditional art of pyrography as you create your own custom wide-brim felt hat in this hands-on heritage workshop.
Pyrography—also known as woodburning—has long been used to decorate natural materials with intricate patterns and personal markings. In this workshop, participants will learn how this historic craft has evolved into a modern form of wearable art, as you hand-burn your own design into a premium wide-brim faux suede hat.
Facilitated by Sharon from Burnt Brims, Custom Hats, this workshop is suitable for beginners and experienced creatives alike.
Duration: 2.5 hours
Suitable for: Ages 16+ (no prior experience required)
What to wear: Comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes, optional to bring your own apron.
