'Grounded in Redlands'.
An eclectic mix of paintings, pottery and photography by OSHG members Ana Dodig, Peppa Potts and Mike Scott. All are firmly grounded in the Redlands and built their art practice incorporating the stunning landscapes and natural surroundings of the area.
Mike a member of OSHG for nineteen years, says no matter where he travels, he always comes back to landscapes in and around the Redlands and the Bay Islands. Mike says Straddie is one of his favourite places to visit, especially the spectacular seascapes.
Ana trained in design and textile arts in Belgrade but returned to her original artistic interest, painting, after relocating to Australia. Ana works primarily in mixed media, combining acrylic, pen and oil with a strong influence from textile design, colour and pattern. Ana feels her intuitive style explores memory, movement and emotion through layered forms and texture.
A lifelong artist and mud enthusiast, Peppa works from her family run studio nestled on the edge of Moreton Bay. Peppa is surrounded by the elements in her backyard studio, overlooking the waters and tree-lined shores of the Redlands Coast. Peppa likes to create original works from stoneware and porcelain using traditional techniques designed to be loved and enjoyed for years to come.
Meet the artists at an evening event on the first Friday of April.
Gallery admission is free.
