Floral Crown Workshop – NAIDOC Week: 50 Years of Deadly.
Celebrate NAIDOC Week with Blak Botanics in a hands-on floral crown workshop honouring this year's theme "50 Years of Deadly." Guided by First Nations creative Nadine McDonald‑Dowd, participants will craft their own stunning floral crowns using native blooms that speak to strength, resilience, and cultural pride.
This deadly session also includes a First Nations grazing platter, along with bush‑inspired teas and refreshments, inviting everyone to slow down, yarn, and enjoy flavours of Country.
Come create something deadly - a wearable artwork that celebrates Blak excellence, connection to Country, and the beauty of our native plants.
Blak Botanics is a First Nations–led floristry practice that celebrates the beauty and diversity of flora native to this country. For generations, native plants have carried story, culture, and knowledge - shaping how moments are marked, gatherings are honoured, and connections to Country are expressed.
