The M G Car Club speed hillclimb is an event in the 2026 Redlands Coast AdventureFest programme.
Hillclimb sport is a category of motorsport where each driver competes against the clock, on a one-at-a-time basis.
Mount Cotton hillclimb is located on Gramzow Road off Mount Cotton Road at Mount Cotton, Redlands. Redlands adjoins both the Greater Brisbane City and Logan City regions. Redlands is approximately 50 kilometres north of the Gold Coast. The Mount Cotton circuit is approximately 40 kilometres from Brisbane City.
From the excellent viewing area, spectator will be able to see all of the action on the 946 metre bitumen track. Drivers from the mature experienced to the younger enthusiasts will accelerate up three steep climbs, rapid descends into hairpin bends and through corners of varying cambers. Drivers are grouped into many competition classes including Regularity, various Sports Cars classes, many types of Sedan Cars plus Formula Racing Cars where some are home designed and constructed.
Mount Cotton has been in operation since 1968 providing "grass roots"
motorsport for enthusiasts with opportunities to develop their car control skills.
Free spectator entry. Families are welcome on both days however unfortunately no dogs are allowed on competition days.
