Family Pride is a free, family-friendly celebration created especially for LGBTQ+ parents, carers, children, and allies to come together, connect, and feel proud of who they are. Hosted by Rainbow Families Queensland, the event transforms The Link in Victoria Point into a vibrant afternoon of music, colour, and community.
Families can expect a relaxed, joy-filled atmosphere with a DJ and dance floor, jumping castle, fairy floss and popcorn, face painting, crafts, messy play, and a fabulous drag performance and story time. Local LGBTQ+ groups and supportive organisations are also there to share resources, offer connection, and help families feel seen and supported.
More than just a disco, Family Pride is about belonging. It's a space where kids see families like theirs reflected, where parents can exhale, and where everyone is welcomed exactly as they are. Whether it's your first Rainbow Families event or your tenth, Family Pride is a chance to celebrate love, laughter, and community, together.
