A free, fun activity held once a month at Redland Art Gallery, Cleveland. Parents and Prams offers carers and their young children an opportunity to explore the latest exhibitions, socialise and get crafty.
Join in for a hands-on sensory experience inviting young children to explore colour through gentle experimentation. Children will mash and mix natural ingredients using sieves, mortars and pestles, pipettes, cornflour, water and vinegar to create their own paint colours.
As colours swirl and change, little hands build curiosity, coordination and confidence. Children can also design their own paintbrushes using pegs, sponges and natural materials, then make expressive marks on paper.
A playful introduction to art, texture and discovery for the youngest artists!
This exhibition is part of a three-year project of artist-residency style exhibitions and activations, collectively titled CREATE EXCHANGE.
